When I originally asked you to handle the "day of" details only, your suggestion that you be involved from the beginning was the first of many that I am SO glad I listened to! It was a truly magical, beautiful, enjoyable, unforgettable relaxing day thanks to both of you. Every detail was handled impeccably, promptly and discreetly. You were courteous and kind enough to let me be involved in the "fun" part of planning, without having to hassle the small stuff. You kept us informed all along the journey, and listened to and answered every stupid question we asked, and were there for countless hours setting up and taking down the most beautiful venue I have ever seen. Marci & Lisa did an incredible job at our recent vow renewal ceremony. My wife and I went the courthouse route when we got married, so this was a special opportunity for us to share our ceremony with friends and loved ones. There are two aspects of working with Marci and Lisa that stand out for us. First they are incredibly creative and artistic. Every detail of the event, no matter how big or small, was rendered with grace and beauty. Second they both worked to really understand our expectations of the event - both the stated and unstated- and then blow past them. While I am not planning on getting married again, I would not hesitate to engage Marci and Lisa in another event.

My husband and I were married ten years ago. We had a not so gorgeous wedding at the courthouse with silk flowers covering the dusty arbor! After ten years we decided it was time to do something nice to celebrate our lives together. We hired A Joyous Occasion and with their help created the day we always dreamed of. We had our renewal ceremony at our home and Marci and Lisa transformed it into classy and unique environment, they took much time listening to our ideas and designing what our vision was. They included many special touches, an entire room staged for chilling out between dance songs, picture collages of our family staged in different areas for the guests to view. My name is Shelly Zabawa. My husband, Jason, and I have been married for almost 6 years now. We had never had a wedding ceremony the first time around, so we decided that we wanted to renew our vows. We hired Marci and Lisa in February 2007 to help us plan our ceremony and reception, which would take place in June 2007. So needless to say we had a very short period of time to get things done. But they did a spectacular job.
Marci and Lisa have this wonderful way of figuring out exactly what is important to you and putting that into every aspect of the planning process. They took the time to sit down with us and figure out exactly what we wanted. We had a very strict budget that we gave them to work with. They did an incredible job of sticking to it, and that was really important for us. They were in control of everything, and were there whenever I needed them, especially when it came to calming me down right before the ceremony.
I honestly can’t imagine what our wedding would have been like without Marci and Lisa there. I truly felt like a princess that day and it was all because of there help. They created a magical day for us that we will remember and cherish forever. I cannot thank these two women enough for what they have done for my husband and I, they gave us our perfect day.
